Waste treatment

Waste treatment

Almost 80% of managed wast is salvaged, as evidence of our commitment to safeguarding the environment. To achieve these results it was necessary to develop selection, shredding, blending and reconditioning treatments.

Selection

The first step to exploit waste is salvaging all possible components. It is for this reason that over the years we have gained expertise in the selection of waste. It takes place manually or mechanically using cranes and liquid separation systems. From solid waste we select recoverable materials such as metals, plastics, wood, glass, paper which later become raw materials again. From liquid waste, in particular from oily emulsions, we recover mineral oils to send through the consortium circuit to refineries for the purpose of regeneration. We separate waste to be handled in nearby facilities from waste that can be handled in distant facilities, thus contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions and reducing management costs.

Shredding

The treatment is carried out using two shredders equipped with a system for the suction of any dust that may arise during the process, thus minimizing the environmental impact and protecting the health of our staff.
With the shredding of solid waste we obtain a reduction in volume, in the number of transports and therefore in CO2 emissions by about three times.

Blending

Nicola Veronico is authorized to blend both liquid and solid waste. This helps to reduce their residence times, speed up delivery to ultimate destination facilities and optimize transport.

Reconditioning

This treatment consists of the set of mechanical and / or physical activities (for example opening the containers, packaging, decanting, drumming, packing). Logistics benefits from this, with a consequent reduction in volumes, costs and CO2 emissions.
